PALT and MELTA Sign Bilateral AgreementsPALT International Liaison Prof. Edizon Angeles Fermin represented PALT at the very successful 5th AsiaTEFL Conference held on June 8-10 in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia. At this conference, he signed bilateral agreements with Associate Professor Dr. Malachi Edwin Vethamani, President of the Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (MELTA). Dr. Vethamani chaired the 5th AsiaTEFL Conference in which more than 1500 delegates from various countries converged to address the theme “Empowering Asia: New Paradigms in English Language Education”. The agreements open gateways of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two associations.
PALT and PAC
Last January 25-27, 2007, PALT was installed as the newest country affiliate of the Pan-Asian Consortium of Language Teaching Societies. This means that PALT has successfully made bilateral agreements with the country affiliates of PAC. Dr. Helen C. Parcon, Prof. Edizon Angeles Fermin, Prof. Margarita C. Ballesteros, and Prof. Aurelio P. Vilbar represented the association.
